BODØ & LOFOTEN
8 DAYS-6 SKI DAYS | PRICE: 4’600 €
The Lofoten Islands and the nearby coastline of Bodø lie above the Arctic Circle (67–68°N). This region offers dramatic scenery, where jagged granite peaks rise straight from the sea to around 1’100 m. Exploring by sailboat opens up an endless range of untracked ski touring terrain, all set against the backdrop of deep blue fjords and the open ocean.
Late winter and spring (March to April) offer the best balance of snow conditions and daylight. The Arctic climate provides excellent snow cover and quality, while springtime brings milder weather and long days for extended touring. During our stay in early to mid March you are likely to experience the northern lights dancing above your anchorage.

We welcome you aboard in Bodø and get you comfortably settled in with the crew, a gear check and safety briefings. On the first evening, we set sail across the Vestfjorden towards the Lofoten archipelago. This initial voyage (about 5–7 hours) is a beautiful introduction to the area – a journey through Arctic twilight or under starlit skies – before we anchor in a sheltered bay to spend the night.
- Small group, limited to 6 guests on our 20m and 22m Garcia exploration sailboats , for unhindered space and comfort. The boats are thoughtfully adapted to host and embark-disembark skiers and their gear, making the entire operation smooth and safe.
- Virtually endless choice of ascent and descent lines thanks to the variety of the domains, excellent snow coverage and quality. Being based on our sailboat, weather permitting we can sail to, anchor and disembark pretty much anywhere.
- You will be guided by our professional IFMGA mountain guides with more than 10 years of experience in the region, they provide an intimate understanding of the local weather patterns, snow conditions and lines to opt for the most enjoyable spots in safety.
- As we are well into the territory of adventure, we have well established safety protocols aboard and onshore, as well as defined high standards of safety gear.
